Exam Board: Edexcel
Assessment: Three components assessed through performance, coursework and examinations
- Component 1: Devising (group performance plus written coursework) - 40%​
- Component 2: Performing (two extracts from a play) - 20%​
- Component 3: Set text and Live theatre (1 hour 45 minute exam completed at the end of Year 11) - 40%​

KS5

Exam Board: Edexcel
Assessment: Three components assessed through performance, coursework and examinations
- Component 1: Devising - 40% assessed by written coursework

• Group performance in the style of a practitioner, stimulated by a text, plus individual written coursework

- Component 2: Text in Performance - 20% assessed by a practical exam

• Two extracts in total, taken from two contrasting plays: one group piece and one of a choice of monologue or duologue

- Component 3: Theatre Makers in Practice – 40% assessed by a written exam 

• Section A ‘Live Theatre Evaluation’ of a live performance
• Section B ‘Practical Exploration of a Set Text’ as a designer or performer
• Section C ‘Director’s Conceptualisation (of a second set text) in the style of a practitioner
