GCE

Sir Christopher Hatton Academy is celebrating a fantastic set of A-level results. Students at the academy achieved a 100% pass rate in their A-level studies with 67% of students obtaining the top grades A*-B which is an 18% increase from the pre-pandemic grades achieved at the academy in 2019.  Over a third of the grades achieved at the academy were of the highest grades A* or A which is significantly above the national average achieved by all students.

Mr N Salisbury and Mr A Mitchell, Co-Principals of the oversubscribed Academy based in Wellingborough, said “The staff of Sir Christopher Hatton Academy would like to congratulate all students on their hard work, focus and determination. This cohort have worked with great dedication and contributed widely to the whole academy.  We wish them all the very best as they prepare for their future endeavours. We are very proud of these impressive results alongside the recent ‘Outstanding’ OFSTED judgement received for the academies sixth form”.

Notable students include:

Kacper Michalik – achieved A*A*A* in Maths, Further Maths and Computer Science and will be studying Computer Science at The University of Cambridge

Luke White - achieved A*A*A* in Maths, Chemistry and Biology and will be studying Medicine, at The University of Leicester

Brooke Chivers-Hooper – achieved A* A* A  in Chemistry, Biology and Maths will be studying Veterinary Science at The University of Liverpool

Dylan Leadbeater – achieved A* A* A* Distinction* in Business, Media, Geography and ICT and will be studying Business Management, at The University of Birmingham

Millan Patel – achieved 3 Distinction* grades in Applied Science, Business and ICT, and will be studying Business Computing and IT at Aston University

Lily-Bea Mather-Dearden achieved A*A A B in English Lit, RE, Drama, History and will be studying Archaeology at The University of Glasgow

Allison Stoneman achieved A*A*A in English Literature, Politics, Media and will be studying Liberal Arts and Sciences at The University of Birmingham

Michal Wawzrkiewicz achieved A*A*A in  Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and will be studying Maths and Statistics at The University of Bath

Faith Alade achieved A* A  A in Biology, Chemistry and Maths and will be studying Pharmacy at De Montfort University

GCSE

Sir Christopher Hatton Academy is celebrating another great set of GCSE results. Many students will now continue their studies at Hatton’s sixth form which was recently graded ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.

Co Principals, Alastair Mitchell and Nick Salisbury, said “We are so proud of all of our students, todays results are testament to all the hard work and determination that the students have shown over the last few years. We would also like to thank all parents and carers who have supported the academy throughout this time. The results that the students achieved also vindicate the extra effort that Hatton staff always display”

Top performing students include:

Amy Arden who achieved 9 grade 9’s and 1 grade 8. Amy will remain at Hatton to study Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics.

Gautham Nair who achieved 9 grade 9’s and 1 grade 7. Gautham will remain at Hatton to study English Literature, Biology, Chemistry and Maths.

Anika Khondkar who achieved 5 grade 9’s, 4 grade 8’s and a Distinction*. Anika will remain at Hatton to study Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Special mention must go to the following students who have made the most progress from KS2 to KS4:

Sagana Ketheeswaran who will remain at Hatton to study English Literature, History, Politics and Sociology.

Joey Huang who will remain at Hatton to study Biology, Business, Maths and Further Maths.

Nikhil Gokool who will remain at Hatton to study Product Design, Chemistry, Maths and Film Studies.
