Admissions for Year 7 Entry September 2024
The deadline for applications for Year 7 September 2024 entry is by midnight on Tuesday 31st October 2023. Before applying to the Academy it is recommended that you read the full details of our admissions process. In addition to the application to the Local Authority, all applicants must complete the online Supplementary Information Form by 5.00pm on Tuesday 31st October 2023.

Open Week Tours
The Academy invites parents, carers and Year 6 children to experience our setting during a 'typical' day.
Take a tour with our Senior Leaders and students.
Our Open Week Tours will run from Monday 18th September until Thursday 19th October, bookings will go live on Monday 11th September call: 01933 226077 to reserve your slot.
Year 6 Information Evening
We invite parents, carers and Year 6 children to our Co-Principals' presentation to find out more about the Academy and the admissions process which takes place on Monday 2nd October and Tuesday 3rd October 2023.
Each attendee will require a ticket as this is a seated event in our state-of-the-art Auditorium. To book your place please click here.

Year 7 September 2024 Appeals Information
School Place Allocations
Information about allocated Year 7 school places for September 2024 will be sent out by the local authority on Friday 1st March 2024.
If you have not been allocated a place at Sir Christopher Hatton Academy at this time, you have the right to appeal against this decision.
All appeals will take place online. To submit an appeal, please refer to the following Guidance Notes for Parents for further information. Should you decide to proceed with an appeal, you must fill in the notice of appeal form via the following link.
DEADLINE FOR LODGING AN APPEAL – 19th April 2024.
THE APPEALS ADMINISTRATOR WILL SEND NOTIFICATION OF THE HEARING (Date and Times) AND STATEMENT OF CASE TO THE APPELLANTS during the week commencing 13th May 2024.
DEADLINE FOR APPELLANTS TO SUBMIT ADDITIONAL EVIDENCE – 24th May 2024. (Please note that the Panel may not be prepared to accept any additional evidence that is submitted after this date). Additional evidence can be emailed to admissions@hattonacademy.org.uk.
PROPOSED DATE OF APPEAL – Stage 1 & Stage 2 will take place during the week commencing 17th June 2024. The specific details of the date(s) and times(s) will be confirmed when the appeals administrator is aware of the number of appeals received for the school.
APPEALS MADE AFTER THE DEADLINE - Are at risk of not being heard before the start of the September term. Hearings will be subject to when the late appeal was made.
