Memories

Thirty years in a long time. Back in 1984, ‘Diggi-Loo Diggi-Ley’ won the Eurovision Song Contest and in that year Elton John got married to Renate Blauel. A lot has changed in 30 years. But at the same time a lot hasn’t, in 1984 Apple launched their first Mackintosh Computer and Michael Jackson’s Thriller was topping the charts. Both of these are still going strong, so is our school.

Thirty years ago students first left Sir Christopher Hatton School and went into the wider world. Since then literally tens of thousands of young people have passed through its doors and moved on to adult life. The School’s community has spread across the world and at the same time has grown in strength in Wellingborough. We want to link back to that network. That is what our new Hattonians Alumni Network is all about and we want you to share your memories in order to help that happen. If you have memories of favourite teachers, a great school trip, drama performance or sports tour, we would love to hear it and to share it!

Once we have a range of your best memories, we will share some of them on here and possibly in our newsletter.

So please email us via hattonians@hattonacademy.org.uk
